The hottest streak can be doused by just one small setback.
That’s just what happened to the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday. In command of the game through seven innings behind James Shields’s strong start and Jace Fry’s dependable relief, the one-two punch of Juan Minaya and Dylan Covey couldn’t stave off a strong New York Yankees offense.
Just as it was beginning to feel like the Sox would finish this game off, Minaya came into the game in the bottom of the eighth and things devolved very quickly.
