Their pursuit of Manny Machado garnered national interest and Chicago-area TV cameras. About 20 media members surrounded general manager Rick Hahn on Tuesday while he answered questions about the Sox falling short in the Machado sweepstakes.
Things are back to normal Wednesday.
Sox camp figures to be sleepy. That can be a good thing, of course, if the alternative is dealing with a suspended player or a patriarch’s hacked emails.
