La Russa shared his thoughts on the team’s offseason additions of starting pitcher Lance Lynn and veteran outfielder Adam Eaton during a conference call.
The Sox finished tied for second in the division with the Cleveland Indians in 2020, one game behind the Minnesota Twins. All three made the expanded playoffs, the first postseason appearance for the Sox since 2008.
After falling in an AL wild-card series to the Oakland Athletics, the Sox are looking to take the next step. They changed managers, bringing in La Russa to replace Rick Renteria, bolstered the rotation by trading for Lynn and signed Eaton to a one-year deal.
