Todd Frazier jokes White Sox should have worn taped-up jerseys to greet Chris Sale

The White Sox had their white home uniforms hanging at their lockers Tuesday afternoon at Guaranteed Rate Field, so it seems as if some fans won’t get their wish for the night’s game against Red Sox left-hander Chris Sale.

At least one White Sox fan on Twitter was petitioning that the team have some fun when Sale takes the mound against his former team Tuesday night and have the White Sox players wear throwback jerseys like the 1976 versions that Sale cut up last July.

In one of the more bizarre incidents in recent White Sox history, Sale didn’t want to pitch in the uniforms because he found them uncomfortable and so he cut up all of his teammates’ jerseys in a dispute with management.
