The White Sox (61-65) were down 2-0 before they got a chance to bat and then scored three runs in the bottom of the first. It was tied at 3-3 when the Mariners scored three runs off White Sox starter Anthony Ranaudo and Dan Jennings (all charged to Ranaudo) in the sixth.
In the seventh, Sox shortstop Tim Anderson cracked a run-scoring double and Frazier hit a two-run single to tie the game with two outs.
