In a 5-3 loss to the Boston Americans, Ed Walsh had 11 assists over eight innings, becoming the first pitcher in history to have at least 11 assists in a game twice in one season. Walsh added one putout and made no errors. He dropped to 18-10 on the season in one of just nine starts he made of 46 total he didn’t complete. (Walsh’s 56 games, 46 starts, 37 complete games, four saves and 422 1⁄3 innings all led the entire majors in 1907.)
