White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson homered for a second straight game in Saturday’s 9-2 loss to the Mariners and extended his hitting streak to five games.
Anderson joked to manager Rick Renteria after the loss that his success is due in part to the birth of his second daughter, Paxton, on Monday. The Sox placed him on the paternity list, and he missed the team’s two games in Cleveland.
“He called it his ‘daddy strength,’ ” Renteria said.
Anderson quipped about having “dad muscles”: “They kicking in. I'll take it though.
