Tim Anderson returns to the White Sox lineup as Reynaldo Lopez starts against the Royals

White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson was inserted into Wednesday’s starting lineup after sitting out all or part of the last four games with right wrist soreness.

Anderson was limited to serving as a pinch-runner during the ninth inning of the suspended game that was completed Tuesday afternoon.

Reynaldo Lopez (3-5, 6.03 ERA) takes the hill against Royals starter Glenn Sparkman (1-1, 2.92)

Lopez had his shortest outing of the season in his last start, giving up eight runs and three home runs in just 3 2/3 innings.
