It’s pretty clear that as a toddler, White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson ran before he walked.
In his 19th game with the White Sox, Anderson, already loved in Chicago for his speed and agility, drew a walk. It took 85 plate appearances, but it finally happened in the fourth inning against Twins starter Tommy Milone.
Anderson was visibly excited as he ran up the line and stopped at first.
“I was pretty pumped about it,” Anderson said. “A very exciting moment for me. It was kind of like when I got my first hit. It was fun.
