On May 24, 2011, White Sox Carlos Quentin became the 14th player in White Sox history to homer three times in a game vs. the Texas Rangers.
Quentin began his professional baseball career with the Arizona Diamondbacks, who drafted him as their second first round pick in the 2003 First-Year Player Draft, 29th overall. He made his major-league debut on July 20, 2006 after just two seasons in the minors.
On December 3, 2007, he was traded to the White Sox from Arizona for minor-league first baseman Chris Carter.
Quentin spent nine seasons in the majors, four of them with the White Sox (2008–2011).
