In the first game of the post-Luis Avilán Era, with the White Sox back to full strength, the Minnesota Twins felt the full measure of Chicago’s wrath, losing 7-3.
The White Sox tallied all they needed in the the fifth inning alone, when the club struck for five on the strength of a two-run homer from Adam Engel, a run-scoring grounder/error from Daniel Palka, and a two-run single from Matt Davidson.
That KO upped the ante to 7-2, with the Twins adding an RBI single from Logan Forsythe off of Juan Minaya, charged to the new Avilán, Xavier Cedeño.
