Ham. Squints. Benny “The Jet”. The Beast. Smalls. These are now household names. No matter who you are or what your age is, after all these years, The Sandlot is a pop-culture and sports movie phenomenon. The film from director David Mickey Evans took audiences back in time, before our heads were buried in our phones or video games, to an America where kids would get out of the house and play baseball. It was proof: all you needed to have fun was a glove, a bat, a ball and a group of friends.
