DETROIT — Seventy-two days after he was scratched from a Cactus League start with bicep tightness, Carlos Rodon has a rehab assignment date. The White Sox announced before Sunday’s game that Rodon is headed to join the High-A Winston-Salem Dash to make a start on Tuesday in their game against the Carolina Mudcats in Zebulon, North Carolina.
The planned length of the start is still unknown at this point. Rodon’s last simulated game was supposed to be five times up and down, but its length was never directly confirmed by the Sox — though it obviously went well enough to prompt an assignment.
