The Most Interesting Men on the NHL Waiver Wire: Sept. 29

After a busy week on the waiver wire, NHL teams were quiet Friday, making just three players available to their rivals. What today’s class lacks in quantity it makes up for to some degree in quality. A 25-year-old AHL MVP, a highly-touted 23 year old making his wire debut, and a 24 year old 11th overall draft pick are all members of Friday’s waiver trio.
Kenny Agostino, LW, Boston
Agostino is coming off a superb campaign at the AHL level. He led the league in points and was named its most valuable player. This is undeniably an achievement, but the wrinkle here is that to dominate a league like the AHL a player needs to spend virtually the entire year there.
