In advance of the 2020 First-Year Player Draft, which begins Wednesday, June 10, here’s a look back at the White Sox’ best first-round picks since the draft began in 1965. Please note that this is just one man’s opinion and the most recent picks were obviously not considered because it’s too early to judge their performances.
Frank Thomas, 1B, Auburn University (1989): Hall of Famer, 521 HR, .301 BA, two-time AL MVP, five-time All-Star, member of 2005 World Series champions, 19 major-league seasons.
