Streaking Sox in The Bronx; Kopech Notches First Win

By Art Berke

Yesterday’s Highlights

Michael Kopech tossed six solid innings for his first major-league win, Daniel Palka smashed a two-run homer (19) and Avi García drove in a pair as the White Sox won their third game in a row and ninth victory in their last 12 contests with a 7- 2 decision over the Tigers at Comerica Park. If you count the three games with the Twins as a series the Good Guys have won four consecutive series, all against division opponents. The Sox also have won nine of 11 road games this month.
