Stanford running back Bryce Love is not slowing down. The nation’s leading rusher (1,387 yards) has logged 135 carries and, remarkably, is still averaging more than 10 yards per carry. At 198.1 yards per game, Love is outrushing 96 FBS teams all by himself.
Love moved into first place in The All-American’s Heisman straw poll last week, and his lead is growing in the latest poll. This week, Love garnered seven of eight first-place votes in the weekly staff survey. His 48-percent share of the total voting points matches the best marks for Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield (post-Week 3) Penn State running back Saquon Barkley (post-Week 5) this season.
