GLENDALE, Ariz. — Pitchers and catchers have reported to Camelback Ranch. Most of the position players have, too. All the telltale signs of spring have arrived in the desert: batting practice, bullpen sessions, members of the White Sox front office cruising around on golf carts.
But while spring has sprung across Major League Baseball, one thing is also true: Winter is not over.
Whether it’s waiting for Manny Machado and Bryce Harper or finding useful options among the dozens of other free agents still jobless at this point in the baseball calendar, there are many more moves to be made.
