With pitchers and catchers reporting last week and the first full-squad workout set for today, let’s take a look at eight veteran players who will be making their White Sox debuts this season.
Add an exceptional group of prospects — also listed below — and there’s reason to be optimistic they will add a great deal to the Sox mix now and in the future.
1. Yonder Alonso, 1B/DH, #17
Acquired in a trade from the Indians, Yonder Alonso, 31, hit .250 with 19 doubles, 23 home runs, a career-high 83 RBI, 51 walks and 64 runs scored over 145 games with the Indians in 2018.
