Figuratively and literally trying to fit in, White Sox slugger Jose Abreu wedged himself into a small chair and slipped on a blue latex glove just as the teacher instructed.
Abreu sat behind a classroom table Tuesday at the Easter Seals School and Center for Autism Research between 11-year-old Angie Cisneros and David Cahill, 29, two of the dozens of students he visited before the Sox's game against the Indians.
"It's OK to feel a little nervous," instructor Maia Wheeler announced to the group, her voice cracking with anxiety.
Wheeler laughed along with everyone else as Abreu worked feverishly on the art therapy project he participated in with the students.
