As America’s favorite pastime, baseball has the unique power to unite people across age, gender, nationality or geographic location. The sport has the capacity to ignite a sense of pride and belonging whether the 162 games each season are viewed from the dugout, sitting in the bleachers or tuning in from the comfort of a couch.
In this spirit, the White Sox proudly represent the city of Chicago both on the field and beyond the diamond. While it is easy to evaluate the team’s on-field performance by looking at the standings, the meaningful impact the White Sox have on the Chicagoland community is not always as apparent.
