Yesterday’s Highlights

The White Sox blasted six home runs — including three solo shots in the seventh inning to turn a 6–2 game into a close 6–5 contest — but it wasn’t enough. The Angels ultimately prevailed, 12–8, in the finale of the four-game series and seven-game western road trip which began in Seattle following the All-Star break. The Sox took an early lead with a José Abreu (15) solo homer in the first inning and a solo shot by Daniel Palka (14) in the second.
