White Sox 2016 third-round pick Alex Call has not played since April 15 as he recovers from a strain in his ribcage. As a result, the outfielder has been sidelined while his team, the High-A Winston-Salem Dash, has scuffled to an 8-14 start to the season, and he’s been unable to improve on the slow, but not dreadful, .244/.311/.366 start in his first 10 games at a new level.
But it also interrupted the progress of his notebook.
A 2016 CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-American at Ball State, the bespectacled Call already gives off a studious vibe, but that still doesn’t appropriately foreshadow the depth of his note taking.
