New White Sox prospect and Kannapolis Intimidators outfielder Blake Rutherford could pass for a minor league aficionado.
“They’re building something really special with all of the great prospects they’re getting and all the great players they have in the major leagues,” Rutherford said on a conference call of his new club. “I don’t know a lot of players personally, but I know of them and what special talents they are and how good they’re going to be in the future. I’m excited about that, but I’m looking forward to meeting all of them in person. Hopefully I continue to grow with them and when we all make it up to the major leagues together we can be part of a World Series with the Chicago White Sox.
