Sore tooth puts Yoan Moncada on bench for White Sox's game vs. Tigers

Yoan Moncada has been held out of the starting lineup Tuesday for the White Sox’s game against the Tigers after he made an emergency visit to the dentist.

According to the Sox, Moncada experienced tooth pain and brought it the team’s attention. Yolmer Sanchez will replace him at second base, with Matt Davidson starting at third.

Sox manager Rick Renteria said Moncada should be able to play if called upon and listed him on the lineup card among available reserves.

“I expect him back, yes,” Renteria said.
