Last week, I took a vacation with my wife to Philadelphia. Of course I used that as an excuse to make a stop in Cooperstown on the way back home.
While the selection of Cooperstown as the site of the National Baseball Hall of Fame is based on a story with more holes than a poorly maintained infield, it is a wonderful little town. I can’t recommend it enough.
The museum boasts items from every era; from every corner of the game’s history. You’ll find everything from a nineteenth century uniform belonging to a Baraboo, Wisconsin team to a Rockford Peaches uniform worn by Geena Davis in “A League of Their Own” to Lou Gehrig’s license plate.
