The White Sox returned home last night after the long road trip with a 10–7 victory over the Orioles in the opener of a four-game series at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Kevan Smith led off the scoring with his first major-league homer, a two-run shot in the second inning, and drove in a run with a sac fly. Avi Garcia singled, doubled and drove in three on his 26th birthday; Jose Abreu singled and doubled with an RBI; Matt Davidson belted a solo homer (11), singled and drove in a pair.
