Shortstop Alexei Ramirez wants to stay, but do White Sox want him?

Alexei Ramirez raced across the outfield, arms raised in triumph, after watching Geovany Soto beat Tyler Flowers in a footrace between White Sox catchers Saturday afternoon at U.S. Cellular Field.

Over the last eight seasons, Ramirez has many times injected such lively antics into the Sox's realm, and the 34-year-old shortstop has been frank in saying he wants to be afforded the chance to do so for the rest of his career.

But as the Sox's season winds down, evidenced by the light-hearted race many players watched before the night game with the Tigers, Ramirez's future is one of the first uncertainties the club will address in the offseason.
