Seven home runs somehow not enough for White Sox in loss to Blue Jays

Some outcomes on a baseball diamond are more mystifying than others.

Following the White Sox's 10-8 loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday at U.S. Cellular Field, outfielder Adam Eaton did his best to explain how it came to be that the Sox had left the field in defeat.

"Baseball is a weird game," Eaton said.

Jays starter R.A. Dickey had his own take: "I felt like I was pitching in Bizarro World."

Those descriptions are about as apt it can get considering the Sox equaled a franchise record with seven home runs — including three consecutive in the second inning — and lost to a Jays team that hit one.
