Services were held Saturday for outfielder Jim McAnany, a member of the Chicago White Sox's 1959 World Series team.
McAnany, 79, passed away on Dec. 16, according to the Culver City (Calif.) Observer. The cause of death was not disclosed.
McAnany batted .276 with 27 RBIs in 67 games for the White Sox in 1959. Shoulder injuries, however, curtailed the career of McAnany, who was 3-for-16 over parts of the 1961-62 seasons with the Cubs.
