If Garrett Crochet’s White Sox career ended today (doubtful given the demands he’s laid out for his potential suitors), it was not a storybook ending: 64 pitches to get through three innings, six hits, five runs (three earned), a walk, three Ks, a homer, and a loss to drop to 6-8 ... yeah, a guy with a 3.23 ERA two games underwater, thanks, White Sox! Chad Kuhl, like Sammy Peralta in the massacre that opened this Seattle series, saved the pen and kept the game from getting more out of hand; wonder if Chad’s heading to Charlotte tomorrow, like Sammy did.
