The pipeline that runs from Anadolu Efes Istanbul to the Philadelphia 76ers struck again for the second consecutive summer, as 6-foot-7 Turkish swingman Furkan Korkmaz followed Dario Saric to Philly. And just like Saric, Korkmaz paid money out of his own pocket to join the Sixers.
“I want to be an NBA player,” Korkmaz told reporters earlier this summer. “It’s my dream. When I was a kid, I started thinking about NBA, I watched a lot of NBA games. So it’s fun to be here … because this is your dream and you work to reach your dreams.
