Top pitching prospect Michael Kopech will make his second Cactus League start when the White Sox face the Royals on Saturday in Surprise, Ariz.
The fire-balling right-hander is scheduled to pitch three innings against the Royals before Rob Scahill takes over.
“I’m still going to be focusing on my change-up quite a bit,” said Kopech, who is rated the No. 10 prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline. “I’ll probably throw more than I have been and use the opportunity to attack early (and) get ahead in counts. I didn’t do a very good job of that in my last outing.
