'Rough stretch' for White Sox offense continues in 3-2 loss to Rays

Jose Abreu swatted at the barrel of his bat after a strikeout. Todd Frazier frowned and swung his bat toward the ground after his second strikeout against Rays left-hander Matt Moore.

Mild signs of frustration surfaced Sunday as the White Sox offense stayed cold in a 3-2 loss to the Rays in the series finale at Tropicana Field.

The Sox struck out 12 times, and their Nos. 3-5 hitters — Abreu, Frazier and Jerry Sands — were responsible for nine of the strikeouts. Moore gave up five hits, walked none and struck out 10 in 61/3 innings.
