It was bound to happen some time, but Saturday was the day that Chicago’s cardiac kid approach this spring fell short — 7-6 to the Texas Rangers.
The White Sox actually did rally to take a 6-4 lead in the top of the eighth, but this time around, the bullpen couldn’t make the margin stand. A single-double-single smattering among two outs off of José Ruiz tied the game in the eighth, and a leadoff homer in the ninth by Blake Swihart off of Bryan Mitchell sealed the win for Texas.
But hey, how about we take some looks at some sexy Sox stuff?
