It’s preseason, but the White Sox are picking right up where they left off. With a 14-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies, Chicago is still on the hunt for their first Cactus League victory.
Davis Martin, Fraser Ellard, and Garrett Schoenle were the few bright spots for Chicago today. Martin was today’s starter, tossing two frames of one-hit ball. He also had two strikeouts and no walks. Ellard was equally impressive and came out and threw a perfect fifth inning with three batters up and three down. Schoenle was sent in for mop-up duty in the eighth and retired all three batters he faced.
