Robin Ventura on overturned call: 'It's a tough one'

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The White Sox had the sinking feeling that the longer replay officials looked at the final play of Wednesday’s game it wouldn’t go their way.

Two hundred and 16 seconds later their fears were confirmed as plate umpire Dana DeMuth signaled Adam LaRoche was out at first and the game was over. Instead of one last chance for Carlos Sanchez with runners on the corners and two outs, the White Sox were saddled with a 1-0 loss to the Angels -- their third straight defeat.

“Usually when they go long you just think there’s enough evidence and a good angle,” White Sox starter Jeff Samardzija said.
