OAKLAND — Micah Johnson may be at Triple-A Charlotte but Robin Ventura doesn’t expect its forever.
A day after they sent their rookie second baseman to the minors, the White Sox manager hopes Johnson takes advantage of the opportunity. On Thursday, general manager Rick Hahn cited Johnson’s play to play consistency on defense as one of the reasons the team sent him to Charlotte.

“This is something for Micah to go down and work on,” Ventura said.
