TORONTO -- David Robertson was called upon to pitch a four-out save against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, but he only ended up retiring one.
The White Sox closer recorded the final out of the eighth before coming back out in an attempt to shut the door in the ninth, only to allow a single and double before surrendering a walk-off homer to Josh Donaldson in the White Sox 10-9 loss to the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. Chicago has now dropped four in a row.
"We needed this win. I blew the win tonight and I have to live with it," said Robertson, who was saddled with the blown save and his first loss of the season.
