Reynaldo Lopez to face off against former White Sox ace Chris Sale and the visiting Red Sox

All eyes will be on the starting pitchers Friday night when the White Sox host the Red Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Reynaldo Lopez is on the mound for the White Sox for the first time since striking out a career-high 14 Tigers in a 4-1 win Sunday. He allowed one unearned run and two hits in six innings.

“He was hitting his spots a lot more consistently,” White Sox manager Rick Renteria said.

It was Lopez’s third straight start allowing two or fewer earned runs after a rough beginning of the season.
