Reynaldo Lopez is becoming a true White Sox pitching prospect

Reynaldo Lopez is working on stuff.

The seemingly most advanced of the White Sox pitching prospects in spring training says he feels just as comfortable with his delivery as he did when he allowed just two hits to the Giants in six scoreless frames in his final Cactus League start, but his numbers don’t scream for a promotion to the majors the way that start did.

He was christened the Charlotte Knights Opening Day starter, but dealt with winds he said were so cold that he couldn’t even feel the ball in his hand. He struck out 10 his next time out, popping his high-90s fastball by helpless Triple-A batters, but also dealt with control problems.
