Reynaldo Lopez has had an up-and-down stretch (mostly down) since the All-Star break, but he’ll try to get it pointed in the right direction when he takes the mound against the Tigers on Friday night at Comerica Park.
The Sox starter has a 5.57 ERA over his last four starts, and the Royals tagged him for three home runs and six earned runs on Sunday.
“That’s the process when you’re 22 years old and (in) your first big-league full season, you’re going to have those ups and downs,” interim manager Joe McEwing said.
