U.S. Cellular Field is getting a trio of new video boards ahead of the 2016 season, according to a Thursday report from Crain's Chicago Business' Danny Ecker.
The Illinois Sports Facilities Authority approved a renovation that includes three new video boards, with the largest being a brand-new board in center field. The new center-field board will be 6,500 square feet, more than four times the size of the current center-field video board, which is the smallest main video board in baseball. The new one will be among baseball's 10 biggest.
The new center-field video board will also feature digital versions of the iconic pinwheels.
