The Boston Red Sox took the finale today, 6-4, over the Chicago White Sox, to split the four-game series. A blown save led to extra innings, and the bullpen and offense was unable to recover.
Boston started off the scoring in the top of the fourth off of Chris Flexen. Jared Duran started the inning off with a triple, and after a walk Rob Refsnyder grounded into a double play, but pushed the run home.
The South Siders actually answered back in the bottom of the inning, starting with Gavin Sheets reaching due to error, and Andrew Vaughn getting on via fielder’s choice/error.
