Have NHL wonks done anything about Clayton Stoner’s blatant and reckless crosscheck to Andrew’s Shaw’s face, the type of stupidity that the league blathers on about eliminating because safety matters and talent should be on display and blah, blah, blah?
No, NHL wonks have not done anything to back up their words.
And no, they won’t, apparently.
The league will not discipline the Ducks defenseman for a crosscheck square in the back of Marcus Kruger that sent the Hawks center careening into the back boards headfirst early in the first period of Game 2 on Tuesday.
