One of the players most instrumental in bringing the White Sox their World Series championship in 2005 believes the team is headed in the right direction for another one.
“They’re going to make some noise this year,” said Paul Konerko, who hit .283 with 40 home runs and 100 RBIs for the Sox in ’05 and then came up big in postseason series against the Red Sox, Angels and Astros, respectively. “Over the last year-and-a-half there has been a transition and I’m sure there will be changes (with) some good players, some guys you can tell will have good years.
