The end of the All-Star break signals a return to baseball and, for White Sox outfielder Nicky Delmonico, a return from the disabled list.
Delmonico was activated from the 10-day DL before Friday night's game against the Mariners at Safeco Field. The 26-year-old had been on the DL since May 19 with a fractured finger on his right hand. Delmonico returns after appearing in 10 rehab games with Triple-A Charlotte and Double-A Birmingham. He is starting in left field for the Sox and will bat fifth.
