In one of new duties as a White Sox ambassador, A.J. Pierzynski would like to broadcast a game with Ken Harrelson before the legendary announcer retires after this season.
“We’ll make it work,” said Pierzynski, 40, who retired after the 2016 season following a 19-year career, including eight memorable seasons with the Sox. “I told (vice presidents) Scott Reifert and Bob Grimm I’ll move heaven and earth to make sure I’m able to get at least one game in with Hawk since it is his last year. We need to make it happen.”
In his new duties, Pierzynski will show up at selected Sox home games and serve as the team’s representative at the June amateur draft.
