New Sox analyst Ozzie Guillen is 'the only who should be mad' about the failed Manny Machado pursuit: 'I told Manny if he took my number he'd have to buy me a real Rolex'

The reunification of Ozzie Guillen and the White Sox at SoxFest in January paved the way for the latest evolution of the player-turned-manager-turned-analyst.

NBC Sports Chicago on Wednesday announced the hiring of Guillen as a pre- and postgame analyst on Sox broadcasts, a decision that had to be approved by the organization Guillen led to glory in 2005 but departed six years later in a messy divorce.

“It’s very nice of everybody,” Guillen said Thursday, referring to Sox Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf, marketing chief Brooks Boyer and vice president of communications Scott Reifert.
