Nate Jones looks like early leader in White Sox closer's battle

The battle for White Sox closer’s job could go down to the final days of camp, and manager Rick Renteria isn’t tipping his hand between Nate Jones and Joakim Soria.

“We’re looking at guys that have done it in the past,” Renteria said, naming a handful of relievers.

Jones appears to be the leader, but it’s still early. Could the Sox even go with a bullpen-by-committee?

“(Many) of those guys are available and are capable of fireman-type of situation, putting out a difficult moment,” Renteria said.
